Dua Lipa Shares Her Top Ten Favourite Places With Us

by Ceylan Kumbarji

With her single “New Love” reaching 170,000+ views on YouTube in just a month and celebrities like Maroon 5 and Robin Thicke tweeting their support, Dua Lipa is our new favourite artist. The Londoner has an incredible voice, a quirky, vibrant 70’s look and the ambition and confidence to be the next big thing, so we’re excited to see what she does next. She’s already starting to make a name for herself, working with a range of talented producers like Emile Hayne and Andrew Wyatt (Lana Del Rey and FKA Twigs) on her latest material. We asked her to share her favourite go-to places in both her hometown of London and her frequent new spot, LA.

London

1. Serpentine Gallery
For any rainy day in London The Serpentine is my go-to!
2. BAO
I absolutely love the BAO buns. I tried them first in New York, and then when it opened in London it became my new fave spot.
3. Primrose Hill
The best view of London of course.
4. The Providores
The Turkish eggs here are to die for… I sometimes dream about them. Lovely breakfast choice.
5. The Salt House
A Sunday roast of dreams.
6. Wyndhams Theatre
I remember seeing “A View From The Bridge” by Arthur Miller there and got onstage seats for such a cheap price! It was definitely one of the best experiences! I’ve never had onstage seats before so I don’t know what other theatres have them but they are the best!
LA
7.  El Compadre
For a person who up until now had absolutely no interest in Mexican food, I am now so obsessed.
8. Dave and Busters
This place makes me feel like a child again.
9. Joan’s on Third
This has to be one of my fave brunch spots in LA, it’s great.
10. Hollywood Cemetery
I love walking around here… it’s so beautiful and so calming! You have to go there at least once while you’re in LA.
