Rewind 5 years or so and I definitely wouldn’t have been the right person to write this article. I hated being single and felt like all I need to be happy and complete was a boyfriend.
In this season of love and romanticism, it is difficult to remember to enjoy the times you have as a single individual. Some women, like myself, are single during this Valentine’s Day, but that has not stopped me from finding the love in all areas of my life.
For me this faultless combination is the classic collision of a film and food. When selected right these are two of my favourite things- perfect for Valentines Day whether to be enjoyed alone or as a themed get together for other Valentines Day avoiders.
So in an effort to embrace the true essence of what Saint Valentine represents, while simultaneously keeping our inner cynic at bay, I’m delving into the various ways that three different cultures celebrate love in February!
