The Scott Resort & Spa Review: The Ultimate Desert Retreat

Built in 1961 and most recently renovated this year, The Scott Resort & Spa is located in downtown Scottsdale, just steps away from Fashion Square Mall and The Waterfront. It’s uniquely framed by natural landscapes and beauty, allowing guests to experience all the benefits of the Old Town location in a natural, inviting oasis. It perfectly combines these outdoor and contemporary styles. The entire hotels oozes sophistication and modernity. With palm trees everywhere, for us, this is the ultimate desert retreat. With everything from a sandy beach pool and cabanas to a chilled spa and gym, it’s easy to fall in love with this resort.

Inviting Rooms at The Scott Resort & Spa

Among its 204 rooms, The Scott Resort & Spa offers four different types of cosy and comfortable accommodation so that you can choose your level of luxury all while supporting a sustainable planet. Patio guest rooms all feature a private patio or private balcony, Courtyard rooms allow guests to enjoy luscious garden views also with a private patio or balcony, and Lagoon View/Pool View rooms are just as the title suggests, giving guests the opportunity to drink in the vista of one of the resort’s two pools. All rooms enclose rainfall showers, iPod docking stations, and insanely comfy Frette Italian sheets. The Sonoran style rooms were designed with comfort and convenience in mind, making your entire stay cosy and homely.

Two Outdoor Pools

The hotel features two outdoor pools with the option to hire private cabanas and sip afternoon cocktails underneath the sunny skies at La Boca Pool, the hotel’s main pool, while La Playa Pool completes your trip with a sandy experience without ever having to leave the city. And believe us, in downtown Scottsdale, you’re going to want a little refreshing dip in the hot afternoon sun. If you’re fortunate enough to get a view of one of the pools, it’ll feel like you’re in your own little fairytale world with pretty lights and palm trees everywhere especially in the evenings. For those chillier evenings, the outdoor pool features a nice little fire pit to warm up and relax.

Every Event Need Met

The Scott impressively features 14,500 square feet of indoor meeting space to meet any event needs and highlights their wedding capabilities promising to make the happiest day of your life run as seamlessly as possible. Outdo your other friends with the wedding of your dreams and allow The Scott Resort & Spa to design an unforgettable night. The notable spa sets them apart from other luxury boutique hotels with 3,500 square feet of pure relaxation. With six private sun-washed treatment rooms, it’s the ultimate place to unwind, whether you want to use their gym or try the Heirloom Pumpkin Radiant Facial (we love!)

Good Vibes

Reviewers rave about the relaxing ambiance, small intimate feel, and delicious American cuisine with Cuban twist at the hotel’s feature restaurant “The Canal Club.” With an indoor and outdoor section, the 1930s Havana aesthetic makes the dining experience so fun and unique. There’s also “The Canal Club Poolside” for all your cocktail needs and for a more romantic and intimate dining experience, you can dine by candlelight, firelight, or even starlight in Old Town Scottsdale with their private hire options.

The Area

Although you might just want to set up camp here and not move for the duration of the stay, should you want to venture out and visit the surrounding area, there’s plenty to do! With more than 100 galleries to visit, Scottsdale is big in the Arts & Culture department if this is something you fancy doing while you’re in town. Alternatively, sports is an option – if you’re big on golf, Scottsdale is a top golf destination, and it’s home to Camelback Mountain which is one of the most popular destination hikes. Restaurants, bars and live entertainment can also be found all around town so there’s never a shortage of things to do and places to explore. Our favourite thing? Coming home to The Scott at the end of the day and curling up in possibly the most comfortable bed of all time.

You’ll be within a 15-minute drive of Camelback Mountain and Scottsdale Waterfront. Other close attractions are the Phoenix Zoo, and the Sun Devil Stadium, only 10.6 miles away. If you’d rather take a break from driving for a bit, a luxury transportation service is offered within a three-mile radius. Being so close to downtown Scottsdale, this’ll surely get you where you need to go.
